Bold and Beautiful

24th September marks the birthday of the WWE President, Stephanie McMahon. The libra Superstar turns 40 years old today!

McMahon began appearing regularly on-air for WWE (then WWF as the World Wrestling Federation) in 1999 as a part of a storyline with The Undertaker. After a brief on-screen relationship with Test, she was engaged to Triple H—whom she married both on-screen and later in real life—which resulted in The McMahon-Helmsley Faction storyline. She has held the WWF Women’s Championship once. In 2001, she was the on-screen owner of Extreme Championship Wrestling during The Invasion. The following year, she was the SmackDown General Manager, but stopped appearing regularly on television after an “I Quit” match with her father Vince. From 2013 to 2016, they acted as a power couple known as “The Authority,” making what were often shady decrees while claiming only to be concerned for “what’s best for business,” all the while romanticizing each other in the process with public displays of affection. The Authority would later expand into a stable with its co-leaders Triple H and herself. In April 2016, The Authority quietly disbanded. She is currently the commissioner of Raw.

It’s very important that you tell someone when you are being bullied – someone that you trust. You should never be quiet when you are being bullied or when you see someone being bullied. It’s so important to stand up and say something.”Stephanie McMahon

24th September also marks the birthday of F Scott Fitzgerald! The great novelist had died at the age of 44 in 1896. He is the Jazz Age author of The Great Gatsby,  This Side of Paradise, The Beautiful and Damned, and Tender Is the Night. While looking up about him, google told me what an amazing prodigy he was. He was SO intelligent during childhood that he was allowed to attend on half day. He could choose which half (all the kids out there, don’t you wish your life was cool like him *sings*) His wife Zelda Fitzgerald was an , eccentric socialite too !

Here are some of my personal favourite Fitzgerald quotes:

  • So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

  • The loneliest moment in someone’s life is when they are watching their whole world fall apart, and all they can do is stare blankly.”

  • Show me a hero, and I’ll write you a tragedy.”

  • You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say.
